Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born Elizabeth Jane Hurley) is an English model, actress and former Hugh Grant girlfriend. She gained fame in the mid 1990s. As of 1994, Hugh Grant was the center of worldwide media attention due to the box office boom of his movie Four Weddings and a Funeral Hurley was with him at the film's Los Angeles premiere in a stunning black Versace dress held together with gold safety pins which gained immediate media attention. Hurley has had a successful professional career, however her connection to Estee Lauder cosmetics is the most notable. Hurley received her first modeling contract at the age 29, and she's used her model for Estee Lader's cosmetics since 1995. In the popular spy comedy films International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), Hurley played Vanessa Kensington. Hurley is currently a model and designer for a beachwear collection named after her. Perry's early attempts to become a star in the mainstream did not succeed. The singer has been signed by 2 distinct record companies, but dropped before she released any music. Capitol Records did release Perry's Ur So Gay, which garnered modest attention in 2007 for its cheerfully joking title. I Kissed a Girl was a more aggressive ode to sexism, accompanied by a hard edged electronic-pop beat. It was not a popular song, as critics criticized it for encouraging relationships with a partner and others claimed that the song depicted a racy scene that appealed to male desires for female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl was an immediate hit for Perry's album of the same name in 2008. of the Boys in 2008 due to the mix of titillation combined with polished music. The sharp, bouncey second track was extremely popular. The album that Perry wrote in large part sold over three million copies.
